AFTER THIS, A VISIT TO THE
WATERPARK WILL SEEM LIKE
SITTING IN YOUR BATHTUB
Paddle. Snorkel. Marvel.
A day of discovery from a unique perspective. This is truly an unexpected adventure. You'll paddle in to secret beaches hidden in Kauai’s rugged southern shoreline. Then snorkel and bodysurf at exclusive locations only accessible by boat. Feel the fine white sand between your toes as you realize the only footprints are your own. Keep watch for indigenous Hawaiian marine life like Green Sea Turtles, Spinner Dolphins, and of course Humpback Whales (seasonally from December through April). We'll be hoping to see incredible sights and amazing encounters that can only be experienced by kayak!
We use tandem, open-cockpit, or, sit-on-top type, self-bailing kayaks with foot pedal controlled rudders to facilitate safety and ease of operation. You'll be given a lightweight fiberglass paddle with a tether, life vest, and dry bag as well.
This tour is available Tuesdays and Thursdays in the winter months from mid-September thru mid-May.

Lunch comes with pasta salad and a chocolate chip cookie. Cold drinks are available thoughout the day. There's lots of room in the kayak, so feel free to bring along additional drinks and snacks- no alcoholic beverages, please.
We recommend you bring a swimsuit, shorts, t-shirt, windbreaker or light raincoat, sport-type sandals or aqua socks, waterproof sunscreen, billed hat with keeper, sun-glasses with keeper, towel, and waterproof camera. These items can be purchased at our Poipu shop. We also recommend over-the-counter medication (try Bonine) for seasickness that won't cause drowsiness- best taken the night before the tour, as well as the day of the tour. You may also want to bring an extra set of clothing and extra towel for a more comfortable van ride home.

While this tour is best enjoyed by people who are physically fit and have some basic paddling experience, you may join us as a first time kayaker if you consider yourself to be athletically inclined and quick to learn new sports. Participants should enjoy a workout, and be up for an exciting challenge! No children under 12 or non-swimmers, please.
Warning: If you are prone to severe seasickness this trip is not for you. If you feel that you may get nauseous, but not severely so, we recommend motion sickness medicine such as Bonine, Dramamine, or Triptone (over the counter).
