KAUAI STAND UP PADDLE BOARD TOUR
Kauai Stand-Up Paddle Board Tours – Downwind River Adventure
Paddle. Zip. Smile.
Find out what it feels like to walk on water!
The newest addition to our Kauai activity lineup– the Kauai Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP) Adventure. From the company that introduced Zip lining tours to Kauai comes a brand-new adventure—the first of its kind in Hawaii. A calm-water river stand up paddle board tour. You’ll paddle downwind, hike to waterfalls, ride a very cool little water zip line, and much more.
Standup paddle along a tranquil jungle stream, ringed by the majestic Hau’pu Mountains. The adventure starts with a quick SUP lesson, then paddlers will be fitted with a paddle and board that is just right.
As with any sport, equipment matters. Outfitters Kauai provides paddlers with top-quality equipment, so you can paddle with ease and get the most out of your adventure. Our standup paddle boards, available in two lengths, have been selected for their perfect blend of stability, speed and agility. Outfitters Kauai’s Surftech Swell Master boards provide the perfect combination of race and touring style to give you the stability and speed you want as you paddle with the wind at your back.
Step from board to shore for a short hike through the spectacular Hule’ia National Wildlife Refuge. Explore breathtaking Kauai waterfalls. Follow lush rain forest trails under a canopy of trees to the secluded Bamboo Pool where you can play on Outfitters Kauai’s Waterzip zipline. On the return trip, trade your Stand Up for a sit down, and relax while our motorized Hawaiian-style canoe brings it all home.
Guests staying at Poipu area or Westside resorts should check in at Outfitters Kauai in Poipu at 7:45am, returning at 2:00pm.
Guests staying at Eastside or Northshore resorts should check in at The Kayak Shack at Nawiliwili Small Boat Harbor at 8:30am, returning at 1:30pm.
Refreshments: A hearty picnic lunch consisting of a turkey or veggie wrap, pasta salad, cookie, and cold bottled spring water.
What to wear and bring:
We recommend you bring a swimsuit, shorts, t shirt, windbreaker or light rain coat, and footwear with aggressive tread for muddy conditions. Sport type sandals with heelstraps or aqua socks with tread work great. And don’t forget a hat, sunscreen, bug spray and a waterproof camera. You can buy these items at our Poipu shop, or rent sport sandals (as available) at Poipu.
$128 per person plus tax for adults, $98 plus tax for kids 14 years old and under. (guide gratuity not included)
